When style meets safety
Stairs are much more than a passage between two floors. They can be a central design element, a visual signature that reflects your taste, your lifestyle and the atmosphere of your interior. At Tapis André Viau, we believe that every step can become a step towards a more refined aesthetic and a warmer experience. With our vast collection of custom stair carpets, we turn every staircase into a functional work of art.
Custom stairs, adapted to your décor
Your interior is unique, and your stairs should be too. That is why we offer fully customizable solutions in terms of:
- Patterns: geometric, organic, classic, contemporary…
- Colours: neutral tones, contrasting accents, warm or cool shades.
- Textures: plush, non-slip, thick or refined.
- Cuts: adapted to straight, winding or multi-landing staircases.
Every staircase has its technical particularities, and every client has their own aesthetic preferences. Our experts take the time to understand your vision, then guide you in choosing the materials, colours and ideal pattern to create a harmonious, one-of-a-kind result.
Comfort underfoot, on every step
Beyond their decorative appeal, our stair carpets offer unmatched everyday comfort. They cushion footsteps, reduce noise and, above all, improve safety, particularly in homes with children or older adults. Thanks to their non-slip properties, you minimize the risk of slips and falls.
At Tapis André Viau, we only use high-quality materials known for their durability, their resistance to wear and their ease of maintenance.
Precision installation by our specialists
A good stair carpet is only as good as its installation. That is why our technical team takes an approach that is both ingenious and artistic. We make sure that every square centimetre is laid with care, that patterns line up perfectly and that the finishes are impeccable.
Prefer a more traditional style? Our gold or chrome decorative stair rods add a touch of refinement to the whole. Prefer a clean, modern look? We provide an invisible installation that is integrated into the design of your staircase.
Our strength lies in combining artisanal know-how with contemporary design, which allows us to deliver projects that are as durable as they are elegant.
Our designers: your best source of inspiration
Our interior design consultants support you through every step of the process. They can help you:
- Harmonize your staircase with the rest of your décor.
- Choose seasonal or timeless colour palettes.
- Select the right cut format and installation style.
- Balance aesthetics and functionality according to your lifestyle.
Not sure where to start? A visit to our store or an in-home appointment with our designers can make all the difference. With their professional eye and their passion for textures and shapes, they will bring your ideas to life with elegance.
For homes… and prestigious buildings
Our services are not limited to private residences. We also work with luxury buildings, boutique hotels, high-end offices and public institutions to bring style, safety and refinement to their staircases. Every project receives personalized attention, whether it is a simple residential staircase or a majestic double staircase in an entrance hall.
Design starts with the very first step
We firmly believe that the beauty of an interior begins at the entrance. And the staircase is often the first thing we see and use. It therefore deserves special attention.
A well-dressed staircase completely changes the perception of a space: it can make an interior more welcoming, warmer and even brighter, depending on the shades chosen. Carpet also creates a smooth visual transition between floors, bringing consistency and flow to your décor.
