For more than 60 years, Tapis André Viau has been much more than a carpet store. It is a must-know reference in Montréal for high-end floor coverings, with a reputation built on quality, precision and deeply human service. Whether you are a homeowner looking to turn your house into a haven of peace or a professional searching for a durable, stylish solution, Tapis André Viau has everything you need.
In this blog, discover in detail all the products and services offered by Tapis André Viau, from wall-to-wall carpeting to custom rugs, stair carpets, high-end vinyl and much more.
- Wall-to-wall carpeting: total comfort and refined style
Wall-to-wall carpeting is one of the house specialties. Soft, warm and sound-absorbing, it brings a cozy atmosphere to your rooms while offering excellent thermal comfort, especially during Québec winters. Whether you choose natural wool or synthetic fibres, plain or patterned, velvet or loop pile, it fits perfectly into living rooms, bedrooms, offices and commercial spaces.
Our experts take measurements on site, provide meticulous installation and offer personalized advice to make sure every corner of your room benefits from a perfect installation.
- Stair carpets: safety, elegance and character
Your staircase deserves your full attention. Too often overlooked, it can become a strong element of your interior décor. With our custom stair carpets, we turn your steps into an aesthetic work while improving the safety of your home.
Our specialists cut each carpet with precision, guaranteeing a stable, lasting installation, even on the most complex staircases (curved, winding or spiral). In addition to indoor carpets, we also offer carpets for outdoor stairs, perfect for standing up to the weather while adding style to the entrance of your home.
- Custom rugs and carpets: personalized elegance
A custom rug is the element that brings a space to life. At Tapis André Viau, you can design a carpet that reflects your personality and harmonizes with your furniture, colours, textures and needs.
Looking for a one-of-a-kind piece for your living room, a luxury rug for your office or a carpet suited to a playroom? Our designers help you choose the format, material, pattern, border and style. Each piece is made with great attention to detail, for a result that is beautiful but also practical, easy to maintain and long-lasting.
- High-end vinyl flooring: modernity and durability
For those looking for an elegant, durable alternative to hardwood or ceramic floors, luxury vinyl is an ideal solution. At Tapis André Viau, we offer a wide range of vinyl planks and sheet vinyl that perfectly imitate wood, concrete, cement tiles or marble.
Waterproof, stain-resistant, easy to maintain and affordable, vinyl is perfect for high-traffic commercial spaces and busy families. It combines a high-end look with technical performance, all without breaking the bank. Our experienced installers ensure a flawless installation, with surface preparation and a professional finish.

Tapis André Viau is known for cutting work of remarkable precision. Every product is adjusted to the millimetre to fit perfectly into your space, even in the most complex corners.
